Spring Peformance Costume Balance 

A reminder that you will receive an email invoice of the balance for your dancers spring performance costume(s).  You may pay online or bring cash/check into your dancer's instructor.  I will be ordering all costumes over holiday break and will not order unless paid in full.  A late fee of $15 will apply if paid late. Please refer to September newsletter for information on costumes.

Holiday Closure

What a fun and festive time of year coming upon us!  We wish you and your family a peaceful holiday season filled with laughter, excellent food, and making memories with family and friends!

Studio RED will be closed December 23rd-January 4th We will reopen January 6th.

Thursday December 5th

A reminder that there is no classes at the studio on Thursday December 5th as all our teachers and many dancers will be participating in the Holiday Showcase.  Dancers are welcome to attend a make up lesson at your convenience.  A good class for the boys to take would be any hip hop or acro class their level.  See schedule under "classes" tab for times.

Holiday Showcase Normal classes Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning. NO CLASSES at the studio Thursday December 5th (boys, Tots, Jazz, pointe).

Tech Rehearsal & Dress Rehearsal Schedule

Tech Rehearsal Strom Auditorium  Thursday December 5th-  Act I 3:30-5:45pm  Act II 6-8:30pm  No hair or costumes needed.  
Dress Rehearsal Strom Auditorium  Friday December 6th- Act I 3:30-5:45pm  Act II 6-8:30pm  Full hair, make up, and costumes.  Hair in low bun with left side part.
Performance #1 Saturday December 7th @6pm  Dancers in Level III and up arrive at 4:00pm for stage warm up.  All other dancers arrive at 5:15pm in full hair, make up and costume.
Performance #2 Sunday December 8th @2pm  Dancers Level III and up arrive at 12 for stage warm up. All other dancers arrive at 1:15pm in full hair, make up and costume.

Weather Cancellation Policy

Studio RED used to follow RSU#13 for all winter closures. Then it started not working because of the timing of storms.  I will post on our facebook page by 2pm if we close and will email the dancers that attend that day of classes.  It is safe to assume that if all the local schools close then we will too.  Dancers are always welcome to attend a make up lesson of any technique their level or below.

CLI Master class:  Studio RED will be hosting the next CLI master class on Saturday December 14th from 4-5pm.  Open to dancers level III and up.  This class will be with: Alexa Anderson!

Alexa Anderson grew up in Chandler, Arizona, where she trained and competed in many different styles of dance, winning numerous National titles and awards. She was a talented and dedicated pupil, ancd at the age of 16, was awarded Student of the Year for Arts and Academics at The Arizona School ccof the Arts. She was featured many times in DanceSpirit Magazine as a young up and comer, and in 2010 she was featured on the cover. At age 17 Alexa was a principal dancer in the off Broadway contemporary dance show, "Beneath the Surface." Soon after, she decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue her dream career as a dancer. Since then, she has been featured in several television commercials and music videos and has danced on shows such as X Factor, American Idol, America's Got Talent, Dancing With The Stars, Teen Choice Awards, All The Right Moves, and was a contestant on Season 9 of So You Think You Can Dance. Alexa has toured the country as a cast member of the highly acclaimed contemporary dance company, Shaping Sound.  She has also performed with many talented artists like Kanye West, Queen Latifah, Colbie Caillat, Paramore, The Wanted, Icona Pop, Redfoo and Demi Lovato. Alexa also tours the country as a Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructor and dedicated dance teacher.
